It can be fun to puzzle through too hard text. It's like the world is full of crossword puzzle clues that unlock real rewards. However on this occasion I had just spent hours doing a logic puzzle I don't really like called Declutter Two Office Drawers, and wanted to rest by reading about Spanish before tackling a spatial puzzle called Move Queen Size Bed, so for once the part of me that needs to problem solve was fulfilled. 

This overview blessedly uses the words I have to use at work, so I was going along smoothly until I got to "etc."

"I think I have to look this up. but I know what it means. It means et cetera. And it's latin, right?"

I took a second to determine that the way I say et cetera (etsedra) is not the way church sounds, so I don't actually know how to say this in Latin after all. So I can let it go, or I can look it up. 

Perfect! Sometimes the wikipedia article has a very small number of translations or a very short Spanish entry but this looks promising. 

That helped less than I hoped. But I can just read it as "y lo demás" for now until I come across it organically.
